In vivo Electrophysiology

 

In vivo tetrode recording

We offer a state-of-the-art in vivo tetrode recording setup from Neuralynx allowing electrophysiological analyses at a single cell level in an awake, behaving rodent. The system provides opportunities for linking complex behavioral responses to single cell activity and thereby enable functional analyses in a circuit context. It also simultaneously permits measuring field potentials from cell populations and synchronous neuronal activity, such as gamma oscillations, during a behavioral task, e.g. responses to a painful stimulus in an awake animal. Experts in this field can give assistance to the users (Prof. Dr. Rohini Kuner's group, Institute of Pharmacology).
