MD thesis projects

 

 

We offer medical students of German universities the unique chance to write a high-level medical dissertation within a network programme of internationally recognized experts and institutes. By participating in this structured training programme and various further scientific events of the Collaborative Research Centre in Heidelberg/Mannheim and Frankfurt you will get a first-hand and thrilling experience of science in this seminal field of medical research. You will be financially supported by an annual grant in the amount of € 775 per month.

    

The offered Medical Thesis Projects are:

   

  • The role of smooth muscle cells during stretch-induced vascular remodelling
    (apl. Prof. Thomas Korff)
  • Endothelial cell-platelet-leukocyte interactions during vascular remodelling
    (Prof. Markus Hecker)

Abteilung Neuro- und Sinnesphysiologie (Prof. Dr. A. Draguhn)

 

In der Abteilung für Neuro- und Sinnesphysiologie, AG Draguhn, sind fortlaufend Stellen für

 

Master-Studenten und Medizin-Doktoranden

 

zu besetzen.

Wir untersuchen neuronale Aktivitätsmuster auf der Ebene von Synapsen und Zellen sowie auf der Ebene neuronaler Netzwerke im Zusammenhang mit Gedächtnis-Prozessen.

 

Für ein Projekt suchen wir gezielt nach Studenten, die sich für die Datenanalyse mittels Algorithmen der Mustererkennung (“pattern recognition“) interessieren. Dieses Angebot richtet sich auch an Physiker, Mathematiker und Informatiker.

 

 

Voraussetzungen sind:

  • Interesse an Neurophysiologie

  • Offenheit für elektrophysiologische Methoden
    (ggfls. auch ohne Vorkenntnisse)

  • Einsatzbereitschaft
