User guidelines
- Investigators who wish to use the core must have a current valid protocol from the authorities (Regierungspräsidium Karlsruhe).
- We can provide assistance in writing protocol submission.
- Experiments have to be registered by the animal welfare officer (Tierschutzbeauftragter).
- Before introducing animals in the core a current valid health monitoring certificate must be provided to the core.
- Transfer of animals is made in coordination with the core.
- It is important that animals acclimatize to their new rooms one week before the start of an experiment.
- All equipment must be kept in good contition and returned in a clean and working manner.
- Citing the INBC in your manuscript and your grant submission is crucial for the development, the success and the sustainability of the core. We can provide a letter of support for your grant application.
