  1. Content
    • Basic principles of pharmacology and toxicology, pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics; important drug classes (drugs to treat cardiovascular diseases, anti-diabetic drugs, lipid-lowering drugs, anti-thrombotic drugs, analgesics, antiphlogistics, immunosuppressants, steroids, antiinfectives, antineoplastic agents, hypnotics and narcotics, antiepileptic and anti Parkinson drugs, antidepressant and antipsychotic drugs, drugs to treat gastrointestinal disorders); important clinical pharmacotherapeutical concepts (pharmacotherapeutical strategies to treat coronary heart disease, arterial hypertension, chronic heart failure, diabetes mellitus, hypercholesterolemia, thrombosis, pain, inflammatory diseases, basics of hormonal contraception, treatment of common infections, anti-tumor drugs, basic principles of the pharmacotherapeutical treatment of insomnia, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, depression, schizophrenia, basic principles of the prophylaxis and treatment of gastrointestinal ulcers, diarrhea and obstipation).
  2. Aims
    • Knowledge in the areas listed under 2; knowledge of the important drug groups and common pharmacotherapeutical strategies.
  3. Prerequisites
    • Mandatory: physiology, biochemistry, and anatomy.
    • Advantages: microbiology, pathology, pathophysiology, basic knowledge in internal medicine, psychiatry and neurology.

    • Seminar, course, lecture.
