Der Gender Health Gap in Medizin und Therapie

Der Gender Health Gap bezeichnet Unterschiede zwischen Frauen und Männern bei Symptomen, Diagnosen und Behandlungen, die dazu führen können, dass Krankheiten unterschiedlich erkannt und behandelt werden. Die Auftaktveranstaltung widmet sich der Frage, wie ein besseres Verständnis von Symptomen zu schnelleren Diagnosen und gezielteren Behandlungen beitragen kann. Anschließend wird erläutert, wie unterschiedlich Medikamente bei Frauen und Männern wirken können und welche Erkenntnisse daraus für die aktuelle Forschung gewonnen werden.
