ERASMUS+
Erasmus+ aims to promote lifelong learning, enable sustainable growth, strengthen social cohesion and European identity, and drive innovation. The program focuses on the topics of inclusion and diversity, digitalization, political education and sustainability, which are closely interlinked.
Erasmus+ is the EU's program to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe. On the one hand, the program is aimed at individuals (students, employees, trainees, teachers) who wish to undertake further training at another European organization. On the other hand, institutions can apply for funding via Erasmus+ for further development and networking activities such as the strategic improvement of employees' specialization, the development of organizational capacities or transnational cooperative partnerships. This also promotes and facilitates learning mobility.
Organizations can apply for funding in the following key actions:
- Key action 1: Mobility of individuals
Funding in this key action enables and organizes the mobility of individuals. In this way, the institutions increase (further) internationalization, the expansion of networks, e.g. for further projects, and appeal for students and employees.
- Key action 2: Partnerships of organizations, institutions and initiatives
Various program lines are available here, including
"Cooperation Partnerships" or "Small-scale Partnerships": These serve to expand international cooperation while creating innovative results depending on the project, the partners involved and the expected impact.
"Alliances for Innovation" focus on strengthening Europe's innovation capacity.
- Key action 3: Policy support
Erasmus+ is organized not only according to the key actions, but also in according to the target groups concerned, which are managed by different National Agencies in Germany:
- Higher Education: NA DAAD
- School education: NA PAD
- Vocational and adult education: NA BIBB
- Youth: NA Youth for Europe
Depending on the call, applications and project management are carried out via the Funding and Tenders Opportunities Portal or via the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps page and the Mobility Tool. Calls for proposals and their deadlines are published both in the online portals and in our "Current calls for proposals" section.
