Research and Doctoral Awards

Anita and Friedrich Reutner Award for Medical Research

The prize, donated by Prof Friedrich Reutner(Honorary Senator of Heidelberg University), was awarded for the first time by the Medical Faculty Heidelberg in 2011. The award is aimed at young female researchers who do not yet hold an established position, and work at an institution at the Medical Faculty Heidelberg. In particular, achievements that address clinically relevant research areas are to be honored.

 


The Joachim Siebeneicher Foundation Research Award

The Joachim Siebeneicher Foundation was established by Dr Joachim and Charlotte Siebeneicher in 1973/1974 as an incorporated foundation under German civil law with its registered office in Hirschhorn/Neckar. After the death of the couple, their estate was transferred to the foundation's assets in 2000. The purpose of the foundation is to promote and support

  • institutions in the field of researching and combating cancer and other diseases
  • children and elderly people in need
  • humanitarian measures of church and other charitable institutions.

The foundation’s purpose is fulfilled by awarding grants to individuals in need, or to associations, bodies and institutions recognized as charitable and by awarding prizes.

The Siebeneicher Research Prize was awarded every two years between 2005 and 2011. The award was endowed with €50,000.
