Absorption of fees for the Ethics Committee with DFG proposals
For research projects funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), fees will be collected by the Ethics Committee. This is an external financing in this case. The fees of the Ethics Committee will be absorbed by the DFG in the event a project is approved, if they have also been requested as ‘Other Funding’ when filling the proposal.

- Form: Application for a Fee Reduction / Fee waiver
- Cost absorption declaration (Studies according to Sec. 15 of the Professional Code of the State Medical Association)
Note regarding the cost absorption declaration
Please note that the cost absorption declaration must also be submitted with all applications for the assessment of a research project according to Sec. 15 of the Professional Code for Physicians. Exceptions apply solely to research projects that are being conducted as part of the work required for an academic qualification (doctoral thesis, MA thesis or BA thesis).
Even if an application for a fee reduction or fee waiver is going to be filed, the cost absorption declaration must be submitted!
