Gender studies
Gender Studies have become established as an independent field of research at Heidelberg University and are represented across various departments and institutes. Two professorships explicitly include a focus on women’s and gender studies: the Professorship of Behavioral Economics with an emphasis on gender effects in economic decision-making, and the Professorship of Differential Psychology and Gender Studies. Additionally, the Cluster of Excellence Asia and Europe in a Global Context addresses the topic of rethinking gender, sexuality, and the body in a transcultural world of art through five distinct research foci.
