Submission deadline for the committee meeting

You can submit your doctoral documents at any time by post (Promotionsbüro der Medizinischen Fakultät Heidelberg, Im Neuenheimer Feld 672, 69120 Heidelberg) or via the porter's lodge in the administration building INF 672. The Doctoral Office will be closed from December 22, 2025, to January 2, 2026. (Postal submission of documents is possible at any time).

If you wish to submit your documents specifically for a particular meeting of the Doctoral Committee:

All applications and dissertations must be submitted in full at least 3 weeks before the corresponding meeting.

After this deadline, documents can unfortunately no longer be accepted for the next committee meeting!

Doctoral ceremony

The ceremonial presentation of doctoral certificates takes place once a year (approx. mid-July), on Saturday mornings in the New Assembly Hall (10:30 a.m. to approx. 1 p.m.).

Next ceremony: July 11, 2026

For the current celebration, all doctoral candidates who have completed their doctoral studies by May 31 of each year are invited.
