Program
The aim of the Olympia Morata Program in Medicine (OMPmed) is to support qualified female scientists in their habilitation or comparable qualification at Heidelberg University. The Faculty of Medicine sees it as its task to promote the next generation of female university lecturers in medicine and dentistry and, with this program, aims in particular to support the scientific activities of female doctors and scientists.
Format
Funding is provided for a half-time position by the Faculty of Medicine in addition to a half-time position provided by the hosting institute/clinic. The funding period is two years; an extension for a further year is possible.
Candidates are selected on the basis of an evaluation of the applications received by a selection committee of the Faculty of Medicine.

Complete applications are to be submitted exclusively in electronic form (1 PDF file without access restrictions - please use only the current application forms) to the Dean's Office for Research (Forschungsdekanat) of the Medical Faculty Heidelberg.

Curriculum
The program provides for an accompanying scientific curriculum that takes into account the individual needs of the participants. The curriculum aims to deepen academic knowledge and skills as well as key qualifications.
Academic Conferences
As part of the Olympia Morata Progam of Medicine, the Heidelberg Faculty of Medicine provides a total of 1.500 € in travel funds for active participation in national and international conferences, in which candidates present their research projects in the form of a poster or oral presentation.
