The MEDISS Doctoral Program imposes mandatory requirements regarding scientific education during your doctoral studies at the Heidelberg Medical Faculty. This means that you must complete a certain number of qualification units (QE) within the program before submitting your dissertation. These QE are credited for participation in events that promote scientific exchange or that teach scientific skills. One QE corresponds to about half a day of concentrated scientific work in the context of such an event.
