Hot Topics in Good Scientific Practice
We are pleased to invite you to our upcoming course “Hot Topics in Good Scientific Practice”, which will take place on:
Date: March 19, 2026
Time: 15:00–17:00
Venue: Marsilius Arkaden, Turm Süd – INF 130.2, Room K18
This course combines 2 hours of remote preparation with a 2‑hour in‑person session and is designed to foster critical reflection and informed decision‑making in everyday research practice.
During the session, you will explore a range of current and relevant topics in research integrity.
Participants will select their preferred topics prior to the course. Possible topics include:
- Artificial Intelligence in Research – possibilities and (ethical) limitations
- Authorship – Guidelines and conflict prevention
- Conflicts of interest – how to recognize and manage them
- Data management and documentation
- Mentor–mentee relationships and doctoral supervision
- Misconduct – prevention and response
- Open Science, transparency, and reproducibility
To ensure smooth preparation, which starts two weeks prior to the event, please register to the course by writing to career.development(at)med.uni-heidelberg.de until February 20.
