Programme
The central aim of the Medical Data Scientist Programme is to enable participating doctoral researchers to successfully develop into scientific group leaders in the context of medical research. The programme is aimed at postdoctoral scientists with above-average qualifications who are applying for a research position at the Heidelberg Medical Faculty in the field of medical informatics, medical bioinformatics, digitalisation in medicine or medical data sciences. Admission to the programme is based on a competitive and transparent selection process. A binding curriculum and mentoring programme accompany the research work. A certificate is awarded as a seal of approval for completing the programme as a Heidelberg Medical Data Scientist.
Format
The funding covers a maximum of three years of full-time research work in a research group based at the Heidelberg Medical Faculty. As part of the research activity, a specific research project that is categorised as very good by the selection committee should be carried out.
